Invited in for a collaboration, and still giving my honest, real experience (and I tipped as usual!) This omakase spot is a little different from the traditional ones, instead of classic nigiri, they focus on hand rolls. Each piece is wrapped in crispy seaweed with rice and fresh fish, so it’s a more casual, interactive style of omakase. Personally, I tend to prefer traditional nigiri, so this wasn’t my usual go-to style. But I can definitely see how people who love sushi rolls or hand rolls would really enjoy this. It’s also a great place if you’re looking to try something a bit different from the typical omakase experience.

Really good hand rolls! The quality of the ingredients is great and we loved their lychee martini!

Went for a relaunch and it was just as good as I remembered. New menu items on the horizon and I was able to get a good sneak peek of. Michelin star chef, Mike Collantes was on hand working his magic and explaining each piece intricately. Good food, great vibes and awesome service, splashed with a culinary lesson of our indulgences.

I had a wonderful evening at Chef Michael Collantes’ intimate 10-seat temaki (handroll) bar Sushi Saint in Long Island City last night. We started our meal with the briny cucumber salad and the best lychee martini I have ever had. Both the blue fin tuna with black garlic aoli and the avocado miso lime salmon roll were outstanding. Known for fresh, flavorful ingredients, often imported directly from Japan, Sushi Saint is the destination for dining in LIC! The music was a great mix of 70s disco and contemporary EDM. The service was attentive and courteous, and the atmosphere was simultaneously friendly and chill. Overall, both the vibes and the food were immaculate 10/10!

You know how in the movie Ratatouille, the chef is transported to his childhood because of the meal he was eating? When great food is served to you, it evokes memories and the flavors take you places. That’s the way I would describe the amazing omakase experience I had at Sushi Saint NY. The sushi was delicious, full of subtle flavors which blew me away with each and every bite. Some of the flavors also evoked memories of favorite dishes served to us by my dad when we were younger. I also ordered some hand rolls on the side. The yellowtail hand roll is a must try!!! Update: March 2026 Went back again after their refresh. Sushi hand rolls were as amazingly fresh and delicious as I remembered. Don’t forget to order their cocktails. Highly recommend the lychee martini. Yummmmmm πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹. I’m salivating thinking of this meal πŸ˜€.
